Information Pack Cat Uses
- Account information. When you sign in with Apple, Pack Cat receives an account identifier, your email address, and your name if you choose to share it. This information identifies you in shared trips and helps enforce plan limits.
- Shared trip content. When you share a trip, its name, dates, bags, packing items, packed state, saved places, visited state, notes, and packing attribution are stored so the trip can sync with invited participants.
- Shared trip activity. Packing actions and temporary presence, such as which shared bag a participant is viewing, are sent so participants can see current progress.
- Subscription status. Apple processes purchases. Pack Cat uses RevenueCat to receive the app user ID and purchase state needed to unlock and restore Pro features.
What Stays On Your Device
- Local-only trips are stored on your device and do not go to Pack Cat's servers.
- Item photos, photo stickers, bag photos, and 3D bag scans stay on your device and are not uploaded to Pack Cat's servers.
- Optional packing suggestions use supported models that run on your device; trip and item content is not sent to a third-party AI service.
Location And Apple Maps
Pack Cat uses Apple Maps for place search and imagery. If you choose Nearby while selecting a destination, your current location is used temporarily to rank suggestions and is not stored by Pack Cat. Pack Cat does not track your location.
Sharing
People you invite to a shared trip can see that trip's content, participant names or display details, packing progress, saved places, visited state, and recent activity. Local-only trips remain private to your device.
Support
If you contact support, Pack Cat may use the email address, message content, and any details you choose to provide to respond to your request.
Launch Updates
If you join the launch update list, Pack Cat may store your email address, signup time, page source, campaign tags, and country for delivery and aggregate measurement.
The website may use short-lived, IP-based counters to limit automated abuse. These counters expire automatically and are not attached to your signup record.
Resend processes your email address and subscription status to manage beta invitations, launch updates, and unsubscribe preferences. Cloudflare stores an operational copy of the signup record and runs the website endpoint.
Data Retention And Deletion
You can delete your Pack Cat account data from the app under You → Delete account. This removes your shared-trip memberships, account state, and attribution from Pack Cat's servers. You can also stop sharing an individual trip; the shared copy is removed when its last member leaves.
What Pack Cat Does Not Do
- Pack Cat does not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
- Pack Cat does not include a third-party advertising or analytics SDK in the app.
- Shared-trip presence is used for collaboration, not tracking.
Service Providers
- Apple provides Sign in with Apple, in-app purchases, and Maps place search and imagery.
- RevenueCat manages subscription entitlements.
- Cloudflare hosts shared-trip services, the website, and the website's operational launch-update records.
- Resend manages launch-update email delivery and unsubscribe preferences.
These providers process information only as needed to operate their services.
Updates
This page may be updated as Pack Cat moves toward App Store launch and as app features, purchases, diagnostics, or support workflows change.
